Yeah I did as well, no sense in paying attention to events and promotions anymore in the end everyone will get everything. All games give away the farm at the end of its lifespan. Another good example is the plans for festival hats of the past being reoffered.

Hmmm, first the Wintersday hats get offered for free after Wintersday, and now this.

Looks like I quit Guild Wars a little too late... could have saved myself some money.

(kidding... sort of.)

But, I must say, I saw this coming. But lesson learned: No reason to buy anything / get anything "limited". Chances are, there will be a chance to get it later on.

How long before the CE emote aura goes for $10?

Again, BMP != Promotion, it is a product that they sell. I know it's hard to distinguish the two at first, and that's where Anet wasn't very clear about (at first), but then nobody asked either and just assumed. The BMP may have taken part in said promotion, but it is not itself a promotion as promotions come and pass.

It's like saying the BMP went on sale for a few months and only for those few months. The SALE itself is a promotion, but not the product. After that promotion is over, no one can get it on sale anymore, but perhaps in a different promotion which in this case being regular price.

Promotion = pretty much anything Anet announces or has to offer in order to get you excited over their game. Anyone who goes shopping is familiar with how stores work their sales.

Bonus = optional , it doesn not mean exclusive

I don't see why the BMP can't be referred to as bonus or a promotion still.

But I can see why it wouldn't be referred to as collector's or exclusive (which the DIVINE AURA was called).

Also, if they remove the special weapons, it doesn't matter to me. It would be nice if they gave something extra to the first wave of players as a sort of consolation, but anyway, meh.

Yes, but you have to take the time to remember that users had to spend $30 in the store to previously get it. So from that standpoint its not bad. From a what you're getting standpoint, yeah. Its kind of a bit much.

And how is this a waste for anybody? if I was eligible for the promo the first time i would have gotten in on it, but it was closed by the time I started, so no bonus for buying all the expansions for me....now I have all the expansions, I would actually be kind of hosed if they made it a promo like it was last time, and would have to buy the unlock packs or worse something non-GW to qualify. Those of you griping need to realize you spent 30 bucks buying the expansions (or whatever) and u got the BMP for free, I spent all the same money on GW expansions y'all did but have to pay another 10 to get the BMP I have so desperatly wanted to get ever since starting the game, about a week after they closed the first BMP offer.

Really, the complaining here sounds like more "aww, now other people have the cool stuff too- i hate you A-net" jive to me. People get so jealous in this game.

Isn't very....promotional now because it doesn't PROMOTE anyone to use the online store for other things...only this ONE thing.
(e.g - Promotional Mew card from Pokemon the movie, you can only get it on eBay or something now...)

The way I look at it... this is nothing but positive all around. Anet is attempting to increase their online store presence and get people to purchase from them directly. A big plus for anet!

People that didn't buy Eye from their online store are now getting a chance to play a part of the game that was previously unavailable to them. A plus for retail buyers!

People that already had the privilege of playing a special offer game without having to purchase it (unless they purchased extra character slots, which is a plus anyway! Storage mules rock!)

I don't really see the negatives unless people are really that miserable where something as small as this becomes a major issue in their life. At that point, I tell people to get their priorities straight... this is a good thing.

This is great-I had a couple of friends who for one reason or another couldn't participate in the promotion (and yes a couple who had no desire for extra lore but wanted the spify weapons as soon as they came out but alas....didn't get the promo)-now they can!

And yes I'm a member of the group that went out and bought 3 character slots to get the BMP too. And why should I be bitter? I now have space to make as many pvp chars as I want and I even started branching out into other profs! (Loving the para atm....not so much the armor though).

And will I participate in other limited time offers from ANet? Sure! I love being the first to get something

I am not with you, i have the Prophecies CE myself and it was kind of hard to obtain because virtually every online store didnt have em anymore, i finally got it from a place that sells games online but was never mentioned in my search for the game because for some reason google wasnt able to find the adress of the store.

So anyway divine aura is not something special, its hot damn exclusive and was available for quite a while, while the BMP was a promotional offer, but only to those that had a Credit card, and not even paypal support, that was their flaw because it left out a lot of users, but they pulled a smart move by putting the BMP on retail, because i will be buying that asap.

Besides the prophecies CE was limited, and for almost 3 years ago when GW didnt have as much players it was enough.

Not only that, but what I bought in the store to get the mission pack, I could have bought during the holiday sale at the reduced price if I had known this.

Don't know if I'll buy it or not. I definitely like the mursaat weapons, but I don't think that is enough justification to buy this.
